Aster Global is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO 14065:2013 for greenhouse gas (GHG) validation and verification bodies, including: ISO 14064-3:2006, ISO 14065:2013, and validation/verification of assertions related to GHG emission reductions and removals at the project level for Land Use and Forestry (Group 3). We are also an Accredited Offset Verification Body of Offset Project Data Reports for the California Air Resource Board. Our accreditations underline and reinforce our ability to meet the stringent requirements for independent, third-party validators and verifiers of the leading GHG programs.
The Aster Global team has guided project developers through assessments of numerous methodologies and completed offset project feasibility assessments to achieve the maximum GHG reduction, biologic and financial potentials. Formally known as the Forestry, Carbon, and GHG Services Division of ESI, our accreditation to ANSI has allowed us to complete 300+ AFOLU offset project validations and/or verification, 70+ organization-level verifications and 14 offset project methodology assessments around the world under a variety of GHG programs/standards and protocols/methodologies, including Afforestation, Reforestation, Revegetation (ARR), Improved Forest Management (IFM), Avoided Conversion, Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD), and Agricultural Land Management (ALM), Wetland Restoration and Conservation (WRC) project categories for GHG Programs such as Climate Action Reserve (CAR), Verra (VCS/CCB), California Air Resources Board (ARB), American Carbon Registry (ACR), British Columbia Carbon Offset Registry, and Plan Vivo.

Learn More...Forest Carbon Sequestration
Biological carbon sequestration utilizes naturally occurring processes to capture carbon dioxide and store it for years to come. Forests comprise greater than 20 percent of the world’s total land area and have the potential to absorb about one-tenth of global carbon emissions, and accordingly play a significant role in mitigating climate change.

Agricultural Land Management (Soil Carbon)
Agricultural Land Management (ALM) including soil carbon sequestration are rapidly emerging components of the overall ecosystem and sustainability marketplace. Over the last few years, the number of ALM methodologies available to project developers/landowners has been increasing. Aster Global provides industry-leading validation and verification services routinely in this developing sector.
