According to ISO 14065:2020, Aster Global Environmental Solutions, Inc., policies and procedures as they relate to our GHG validation/verification services, shall be made publicly available. The following policies and descriptions are the most current and will be amended as appropriate:
Aster Global recognizes the importance of maintaining and implementing a policy on impartiality and conflict of interest. Our processes ensure that project decisions are based upon objective evidence obtained through science and the work process, with appropriate safeguards to prevent inappropriate influence by other interests or third parties. Our processes are designed to ensure independence, impartiality, and avoidance of potential conflicts of interest, prior to engaging in contractual obligations leading to, during, and after validation/verification assignments.
The Directors of Aster Global require, and the Aster Global project managers and staff ensure compliance with the impartiality commitment and conflict of interest procedures. Further, Aster Global does not and will not attempt to contract project development services on parcels on which we seek to be validators/verifiers and will not attempt to seek validator/verifier status on projects where we perform, or are under contract to perform project development services. Aster Global shall not validate and verify GHG assertions from the same GHG project unless allowed by the applicable GHG program. All clients are made aware of the Aster Global Impartiality and Conflict of Interest policy and procedures, by reference to the policy within our proposal/contract and is available upon request by the client.
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our client relationships. As part of our commitment to client-focused service, Aster Global maintains strict confidentiality of client-associated information. This includes safeguarding all information obtained or created during interactions with the client. Aster Global staff does not disclose information regarding a client that is not already public, without the express consent of the client, and uses appropriate equipment and facilities to reasonably ensure the secure handling of confidential information. Aster Global reserves the right to responsibly utilize and disseminate information or work products as necessary and required to satisfy industry accreditation, certification, audit or surveillance requests, or when legally compelled. Aster Global maintains the appropriate facilities, resources, processes, and technologies to ensure the secure handling of all confidential information. All clients are made aware of the Aster Global Confidentiality policy by reference to the policy within our proposal/contract.
Aster Global encourages feedback from clients in any aspect of the working relationship with Aster Global whether this in the form of a complaint, dispute, appeal, or a compliment. Complaints, disputes and appeals will be taken seriously and dealt with confidentiality, and results in no discriminatory actions against the appellant. The complaints, disputes, or appeals will be fairly investigated, a resolution sought in a timely manner, and its outcome communicated to the complainant. All clients are made aware of the Aster Global Client Complaints, Disputes, and Appeals process and procedures, by reference to the policy within our terms section of all proposals/contracts provided to clients. Aster Global will use the information provided by complainants to support continuous quality improvement and compliments will be used as a measure of Aster Global’s success in meeting client expectations.
Aster Global maintains a policy for each of the GHG protocols in which we are approved 3rd-party validators/verifiers, relating to the statements our clients can make regarding the status of their validation/verification project. When the use of validation/verification status statements are governed by the specific GHG program, Aster Global incorporates those criteria into their policy. The client is notified of our policy within our proposal/contract.
