Indirect carbon sequestration

Indirect carbon sequestration

Indirect carbon sequestration (terrestrial sequestration) part of the natural carbon cycle where plants “breathe” in carbon dioxide (CO2). CO2 is the gaseous form of carbon bound with two oxygen atoms. The plants convert the CO2 to Carbon (C) which they need to grow and “exhale” oxygen.
