Emissions Inventory Assessments

An emission inventory is an estimation of the amount of pollutants discharged into the atmosphere that is broken down by specified source categories within a specified period of time. Inventory reports can be stand-alone documents, supplements to Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Annual Reports, or they may be dictated by the software that must be used to conform to a voluntary program or mandatory reporting scheme. These inventories are used for both regulatory compliance and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Aster Global Environmental Solutions routinely helps clients from around the world to plan for and implement appropriate emission inventory reporting methods that yield useable and valuable inventory reports. Some of the specific areas addressed in an emissions inventory assessment include:

  • Vision, Policy, and Strategy Development
  • Stakeholder mapping and engagement
  • Air, water, energy, and waste footprint analysis
  • Emission Inventory design
  • Methodology and assumptions
  • Emissions results and analysis
  • Emissions Reporting via voluntary standards or compliance regulation
  • Comparison of inventories over time (to illustrate reductions)
  • Systems analysis and enhancement for future reporting
